dear family, friends, and fans:
the perfect recording opportunity for my very first full length album has finally come. this past November I had the privilege of meeting the well respected independent jazz record producer John Snyder, who has recorded for A&M, RCA, Columbia, Verve, and Island Records, and is the founder of the Artists House Foundation. after a night of drinks with John and some friends, I handed him a demo without a clue as to how he would take it. a couple months later I heard back from him with one of the most inspiring and heart felt letters I’ve ever received, along with an invitation to record down at Dockside Studios in Louisiana. In two months I will be recording in the bayou of the deep south with John, Nikolai (my drummer), and a few other musician friends.
that being said we are trying to raise $2500 to fund the trip and pay for some amazing jazz musicians to play on the record. I'm asking all of you—friends, family, and fans, to help us get to Dockside by donating or pre-ordering the new album. this record is very important to me, it is how I convey my message to the world, and I am asking you to help spread this message.
I appreciate the constant support that all of you lend to my music, as it is who I am, not just what I do. If you have a favorite song that has touched your life in some way, let me know and I will keep that in consideration when choosing the songs for the album. after all, this is just as much for you as it is for me.
